AIRPORT TAXIS

Related image

For several years now the Airport Authority of India has been providing pre paid taxi service (black and yellow taxi) at all major airports in India. You are advised to make use of this facility as it will save you the trouble of haggling with the driver later.

Now private cab companies also have counters at airports across the country.

Black and yellow cab drivers may demand extra money when you reach your destination. Part of this is justified because they have to wait long hours at the airport before they get a fare. Paying a small tip of about rs.50 - rs 100 should be fair enough.

If they demand more, you can always threaten to report them and they should leave you alone.

Most cabbies want to avoid any confrontation with the law, so this simple trick should work whenever you have to deal with an unreasonable cabbie or auto rickshaw driver anywhere in India.

Drivers of cab companies like Uber/ Ola will not demand more money, and how much you tip them is upto you.
